NESTA is a world leader in its field and carries out its work through a blend of experimental programmes, analytical research and investment in early-stage companies.
NESTA’s work in learning includes the landmark Next Gen report, led by Ian Livingstone and Alex Hope, on the skills needed for the UK’s video games and visual effects industries, and which argued for computer science to be given greater prominence in schools. NESTA is optimistic about the potential of a new generation of technology, and digitally savvy teachers, to make more and better use of digital technology in learning.
