If somebody from the 1800’s were transported to 2011 I suspect that they would be baffled by many of the things that we now take for granted - from the television to the internet to the mobile phone. As Arthur C Clarke opined in 1961 “any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic” yet I suspect that such a time traveller would be comfortable in many of our schools. read more >
